BRACELETS

CHOOSING A BRACELET SETTING TYPE (PRONG, CHANNEL, BEZEL, HALF-BEZEL)

The bracelet setting refers to the metal base that holds a stone in place. There are many choices for setting types including prong, channel, bezel and half-bezel. All setting types are equally secure and is a matter of preference.

The prong setting is the most popular for diamond bracelets and consists of small metal prongs which bend over the girdle of the gem.

Channel setting refers to a type of stone setting often used in mounting a number of small stones of uniform size in a row. Instead of each stone being held by its individual set of prongs, the stones are fitted into the channel and held into place on each side by a continuous strip of metal.

A Bezel setting completely surrounds the diamond with metal.

A semi-Bezel setting, or half-Bezel setting, is when the diamond is only partially surrounded by the metal setting.

CHOOSING THE BEST DIAMONDS FOR MY BRACELET

Choosing the quality of diamonds for your bracelet is a very important task and requires that you keep two factors in mind: the total diamond carat size and your budgetary limits. When it comes to carat size, the bigger the diamond (millimeters) and carat weight, the more visible any blemishes or coloration issues will be. If you are choosing a bracelet which features fairly large stones, opt for a 'better' to 'best' diamond quality combination. If the bracelet features smaller sized diamonds, then 'good' to 'better' quality diamonds should be fine. Decide on a budget for your bracelet and use the product configuration to create the perfect diamond bracelet within your budgetary limits.

WHAT LENGTH BRACELET SHOULD I GET?

Flexible styles such as the line/tennis bracelet are available in different lengths. Before you purchase, measure one of your own bracelets to be sure you don’t need a special length. When ordering a line/tennis bracelet, the guideline is usually the natural wrist measurement plus half an inch.  With this bit of room on the wrist, the bracelet will sit comfortably without falling too far down your arm. When measuring an existing bracelet, you generally do not need to include the clasp or the tongue portion of the bracelet when measuring.

NECKLACES

DIAMOND NECKLACES

A diamond tennis necklace is a stunning addition to anyone's collection. These pieces are crafted in gold or platinum and are offered in many carat weights. A diamond necklace is a great investment, so be sure to consider whether your necklace should be for all events or something reserved for special occasions. If going for less formal, look at a diamond pendant necklace. These pendants come in a variety of styles and price points. For a more formal look, a detailed diamond necklace, a glamorous red carpet necklace, or classic diamond strand necklace are lovely options. These diamond strand necklaces are set in shimmery gold or platinum and surround the neck.

NECKLACE LENGTH

A pendant necklace comes with a chain which matches in metal type. The standard chain length for a pendant is 18", however, you can also order a 18", 20" or 22" chain.

If you are ordering a diamond necklace, it should hit the center of your neckline. The standard length for diamond necklaces is 16" however, the length can be adjusted simply by adding small links to the back end of the necklace. In general, the three main categories for diamond necklace lengths are: the 'standard' length ( 16" ), the 'princess' length ( 18" ), and the 'opera' length ( 24" ),

EARRINGS

STUD EARRINGS

From the front view, stud earrings appear to float on the earlobe without a visible point of connection. Studs are always constructed on the end of a post, which penetrates directly through the ear. The post is either threaded and relies on a screw backing or is solid and has a push backing. For larger sized stud earrings, a screw back is usually preferred and can help prevent the loss of expensive earrings by keeping them secure. ROSCE offers both backing types. If you have a preference for backing, simply contact a ROSCE representative to make this arrangement.

DROP EARRINGS

Drop earrings, or dangle earrings, are designed to flow from the bottoms of the earlobes. A drop earring can connect to the ear with a post (similar to studs) or a hook. Variations of the hook include the shepherd design, which snaps closed rather than staying open like a French hook design. The bottom portion of the earring dangles directly underneath the top. ROSCE also carries dangle earrings which use a post attachment design.

HOOP EARRINGS

Hoop earrings are one of the trendiest accessories. Generally round or oval shaped, hoop earrings penetrate the ear with a post, similar to stud earrings or through a post that goes through the earlobe and then snaps into the backing. Both variations are equally secure.

From classic to contemporary, from extra small to extra-large, our selection includes earrings of all styles and sizes. A single row hoop earring can be an elegant addition to any casual look while the double and three row diamond hoop designs are perfect for dressing up and special events. One of the newest diamond hoop earring designs is called the inside out diamond hoop. This style has diamonds set on the front and inside of the hoop so you can the sparkle from all directions.

RINGS

SOLITAIRE RINGS

A classic solitaire engagement ring puts all the attention on the diamond. Usually, a simple prong setting is accompanied by a solid gold or platinum band. The most popular stone shapes for solitaire rings include round, princess, emerald, marquise cushion, heart, pear and oval.

ETERNITY RINGS

Traditional eternity bands have a constant row of diamonds that completely encircle a band, signifying everlasting love. Eternity bands can be used both as wedding rings or anniversary rings, and are a great way to express your love for someone as an anniversary ring or from the very beginning of the relationship.

DIAMOND RING VS. ETERNITY RING

Some anniversary ring styles have diamonds set along the top portion of the ring only. The eternity ring has diamonds set around the entire ring. Each style has its advantages. With diamonds set along the top portion only, you save money by using diamonds only on the top 'visible' part. These rings can also be engraved with a personalized message on the inside or outside parts. The advantage of an eternity style ring is that since there are diamonds set all the way around the ring, it sparkles from all sides.
